Okay, so truth be told I watched way more than just 13 romantic comedies this year, but I randomly picked just 13 of them to list and share my brief thoughts on.
1. “27 Dresses”
I didn’t think I was going to like this movie due to subject matter (weddings, wedding dresses and Katherine Heigl). Turns out that I rather like Heigl when she’s not in Grey’s Anatomy, and I found myself entertained. LIKED IT

2. Just Wright
The storyline was alright, but mostly this movie was worth watching just for Queen Latifah and Common. LIKED IT

3. Bridesmaids
Technically this is more of a screwball comedy than rom com. The romantic elements were pretty weak but I did laugh a few times. I probably enjoyed this movie mostly because I was watching it with friends and wine. LIKED IT

4. “The Ugly Truth”
This movie solidified my like of Katherine Heigl. I loved that it was a little grittier than most rom coms, and that Gerard Butler’s character had a dirty mouth. I watched this movie 3 times back to back – 2 of those times with my husband who also loved the movie. LOVED IT
5. Gray Matters
I watched this movie purely because the description said it was about a brother and sister falling in love with the same woman, and I HAD to see what that was all about. It was okay, but I didn’t find it particularly romantic nor funny. JUST OK
6. “Pillow Talk”
This is one of those classic movies that I only just got around to this year. It made me laugh out loud, and I screamed at Rock Hudson for being such a jerk! For being a jerk and still making me swoon at him! LOVED IT
7. The Prince & Me
This was a cute movie, but I never could get into the Prince’s character so it didn’t really move me. JUST OK
8. The Other Sister
There’s not enough movies out there where those with disabilities get to find love. Funny, charming movie. LOVED IT
9. Barefoot In The Park
Another classic that I just got around to watching. I’m starting to love older movies because they are simple and focus on great characters with lots of personality in order to entertain. LOVED IT
10. “The Accidental Husband”
I have this huge crush on Jeffrey Dean Morgan, and so that made this movie entertaining for me. But because I have a hard time watching Uma Thurman and the implausibility of this plot, this movie fell a little flat for me. JUST OK
11. “Beauty and the Briefcase” (Hated It)
I rented this movie because my husband thinks Duff is hot, and so I knew that’d get him to watch it with me. But my gawd, this movie was not funny, or romantic, nor even interesting. HATED IT
12. ”Premium”
I like Zoe Saldana, and so I wanted to really like this movie. I have mixed feelings about this movie. I felt like the acting was uneven and it suffered from poor quality production all around, but wasn’t completely without merit. JUST OK
13. “The Proposal”
Another movie I didn’t think I was going to like, but I was highly entertained (and so was my husband). I didn’t know Sandra Bullock actually had personality (seems like she developed some just for this movie), and Ryan Reynolds did comedy with amazing subtlety. LIKED IT

I haven't seen all of these (most, but not all), but Pillow Talk and Barefoot In The Park are two of my fav movies ever (especially Pillowtalk because who couldn't like to watch Rock Hudson). The Proposal made me crack up especially the dance scene in the woods and I loved, loved The Ugly Truth. Great list!
Sky
I can see why you love those movies, Sky. I loved Pillow Talk, Barefoot in the Park and The Ugly Truth as well. The Proposal was surpinsingly entertaining.
Barefoot in the Park was a brilliant flick. Aside from that one, though I haven't seen any of these! Admittedly I'm not much of a Rom Com type, but sheesh! You'd think I'd have at least stumbled across one or two of 'em somewhere along the line…
If you liked Barefoot in the Park, I highly recommend Pillow Talk, and possibly The Ugly Truth as well.
I wasn't that crazy about 27 Dresses but I did like the ending where all the brides had to wear those horrible bridesmaids dresses. I loved Barefoot and The Other Sister. If you loved The Other Sister, check out Bennie and Joon. One of my favorites and not just because of Depp. lol I know I've seen Pillow Talk but I can't remember what it is about. I'll have to check it out again.
Yeah, 27 Dresses was better than i thought it was going to be. I have never seen Bennie and Joon , but it is on my list of movies to watch. Pillow Talk is about a career woman who has to share a phone number with a man who brings home a different woman each night. I absolutely loved that movie! Watch it again!
Oh! My favorite rom coms:
1) The Truth About Cats And Dogs – Uma Thurmon alert! lol
Pretty Woman – yes, I know it is just Cinderella with a naughty twist but I love it anyway.
2) While You Were Sleeping
3) Bennie And Joon
4) Don Juan DeMarco
5) Last Holiday – IDC what other people say, I buy Latifah in hetero roles especially ones where she plays a character that is a little awkward.
6) Deliver Us From Eva – made me holler a couple times
7) Bridge Jones Diary
9) Practical Magic – it has Aidan Quinn and magic so what more could a woman want.
10) The Princess Bride – Cary Elwes *swoon*
11) Ever After – yes, Cinderella again…blame Disney!
12) Fifty First Dates – I LOVE THIS MOVIE!!!!
13) Monster In Law – even though I am not particularly fond of J. Lo, Jane Fonda made this movie a treat.
Have a happy new year!
Oooh, more rom coms!! *rubs hands together*
1) I really liked "The Truth About Cats and Dogs", despite Uma Thurman being in it. At least she wasn't the true heroine!
To be honest, "Pretty Woman" didn't move me the way it seemed to move others (maybe be because I don't like Roberts nor Gere), but its been a looooong time since I've seen it. I may try to watch it again with new eyes.
2) I have "While You Were Sleeping" on my list of movies to watch. See, for the longest time I thought I didn't like Rom Coms, so I'm behind a bit.
3) Must check out "Bennie and Joon"
4) I also love "Don Juan DeMarco"! I need to watch that one again.
5) I really enjoyed "Last Holiday", and I think she did great in it. So did LL.
6) Never saw "Deliver Us From Eva" (adds to my list)
7) I have "Bridget Jones' Diary" 1 and 2 on my list
9) OMG, I love, love "Practical Magic"!
10) Who doesn't love "The Princess Bride" and Cary Elwes?
11) I really liked "Ever After"
12) "Fifty First Dates" is one of my favorites as well
13) Never saw "Monster In Law" (adds to list also)
I saw The Proposal. It was fun.
I've seen a few of these movies, not too bad
