I actually did submit it once - to exactly one market - and it got as far as two full reads from the editors (after I made their requested edits in between) before I got a no because I did not get full buy-in. Not too bad for my sole submission, but since then I've changed gears quite a bit and I had lost my passion for this type of story (non-paranormal AND not-exactly romance).
