Ahhhh. I am wrapping up 2007 feeling like a real writer for once. I discovered my writing niche and groove, became a member of Romance Writers of America, made a like-minded writing friend and a couple of writing associates, completed two full length novels and a few short stories and entered a couple of writing contests.
So my kitchen and bathrooms suffered a bit and the laundry consistently piled up until it was twice as tall as my 3-year old, and my 4-month old son already detests the sight of my computer.
But ah … small sacrifices for big rewards! Well, if you can count my “wonderful feeling of accomplishment” (which is all I’ve got for my hard work so far) as a reward.
Anyways – I’m going to take a bit of a break mini break from writing to celebrate the holidays and read some bestselling fantasy romances (it’s not like much is on tv anyways, thanks to cheapskate Hollywood for not even trying to put an end to the Writer’s Strike!!). It may look to you to like I’m slacking, but no really – reading this good stuff is still work! It is research, I swear!
