Baby Blues

by ** Tatiana Caldwell ** on September.14.2007

There’s just something about birthing a 7 pound baby (yes – that is my very own bundle of joy in the pic), and then having to exist with it’s waking up and crying for food or a new diaper every 2 hours around the clock while also trying to keep a house clean and rascally preschooler and husband under wraps that drastically saps one’s energy and time.

And my poor book has suffered. But only a little.

Though my progress on the novel has slowed a bit, I’m still making good headway. 150 pages are now complete, making it close to halfway done already. I should still be on track to finish the first draft by the end of November.

So who needs sleep? Or a shower every single day? I’ve got meals to cook, bottoms to wipe, floors to mop, and pages to write!

It is all a labor of love – for my family and my dream!
