Boy did I slack off this month. I barely wrote much of anything in April, besides some blogs on my private MySpace. But hey – being almost 5 months pregnant with a 2-year old who has been sick on and off for 2 weeks, trying to maintain a household all while working a full-time job … I deserve a little Spring Break, don’t I????
Besides. I did recently send my novel to a publisher a couple of months ago and I have been planning quite a few new writing projects that I’d like to start soon.
So I’m not being too naughty, am I?

I probably shouldn’t be this excited by this, but I am.
I just completed the first draft of a short story I have titled “The Guardian”, in just a few hours. It is an 8,000, 14-page supernatural piece of fiction. Through the exercise of writing this piece, I discovered that with a well-thoughtout and thorough outline, I can easily write 15 quality pages in a few hours….in other words, when organized I can write 5 pages an hour. This is a VAST improvement over my efforts on Greener Grass back in 2003, when it took me literally a whole Saturday to write about 4 pages.
Maybe there is hope for me yet! *beams proudly*
